In a case of life immitating art, Donald Trump slammed Saturday Night Live on Twitter for a sketch about his tweets.
“Just tried watching Saturday Night Live â€" unwatchable! Totally biased, not funny and the Baldwin impersonation just can’t get any worse. Sad,†Trump wrote on Twitter just after midnight on Sunday morning.
Saturday’s episode of the comedy series once again featured Alec Baldwin as the president-elect, this time in a sketch built around Trump’s social media feed. The show’s cold open began in a classroom, where a teenage student named Seth was retweeted by Trump â€" much to the surprise of his teacher. (In real life, Trump retweeted a 16-year-old named Seth, who had attacked CNN for its coverage of Trump’s false claims that millions of people voted illegally.)
“Seth seems so cool. His Twitter bio says he wants to make America great again. It also says he loves the Anaheim Ducks,†Baldwin’s Trump said on the show. (The real Seth also touted Trump’s campaign slogan and the NHL franchise in his Twitter bio.)
Defending her boss, Kate McKinnon’s Kellyanne Conway explained the reason Trump tweets so much is “to distract the media from his business conflicts and all the very scary people in his cabinet.â€
Baldwin’s Trump didn’t agree. “Actually that’s not why I do it. I do it because my brain is bad,†he said.
The sketch continued from there, with Trump continually retweeting random citizens rather than listen to a national security briefing.
Trump’s actual critique of the Twitter sketch came before the SNL episode ended, and drew a reply from Baldwin himself. “Release your tax returns and I’ll stop. Ha,†the actor wrote.

This is the second time in as many episodes that Trump has criticized
His tweet drew a response from Baldwin, who noted, “Equal time? Election is over. There is no more equal time. Now u try 2 b Pres + ppl respond. That’s pretty much it.â€
