• Trump heads to the Midwest.

President-elect Donald J. Trump will hold a rally in Ohio today to thank voters for embracing his populist message.

The event comes as his transition team defends against criticism that Mr. Trump has strayed from that message by choosing two superwealthy Wall Street investors, Steven Mnuchin and Wilbur L. Ross Jr., to run the Treasury and Commerce departments.
